“The Sweet Art of Doing Nothing and Doing it Well Says 20 Aires 40 New Moon on Apr 10th 2013”

As we approach the first new moon after the spring equinox, the aspects in the night sky appear to me like the calm before the storm, that is about to descend upon us. It seems to be giving us a breather space to get our house in order. Allowing us a quiet-time in order for us to concentrate to get what we will need, done. We may be surprise what it is asking us to do. In this atmosphere the 20 Aires 40 New Moon at 2:35 am PDT on April 10th 2013 is telling us to practice the sweet art of doing nothing (il dolce far niente) and doing it well, as the foundation for a better future. The action we need to take is no action at all, but the action of being. This thought, in my opinion is expressed to the fullest by the Italian culture in their love of life, beauty and of course, in their enjoyment of food. Is it actually telling us to do nothing, or is it is telling us to have a busy-free moment, just to be in that space and to live it to the fullest?

With much of the activity of the aspects being concentrated in certain areas, much of the noise and chatter to vie for our attention is lessen at the moment. The question that comes to mind, is the Universe telling us to make a concerted effort to get what we want done at this time? Or is the Universe telling us that we need to begin to experience the moment as it is, and to see the moment for what it is? With the busy and the complicated world of cyberspace, having some time to oneself is a luxury, and something we need to cultivate. Allowing oneself time to do nothing, is one actually being in a void, or is nothingness more difficult than we can imagine in achieving it? By being in the moment, even if we are supposedly doing nothing, we are feeling and experiencing the moment as the Universe has created for us. In that instance we are in communion with gratitude with our maker and in appreciating the gift of we are given.

“The Sabian symbol for the 21st degree of Aries is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Aries 21 A pugilist entering the ring This is a symbol of a complete lack of personal sensitiveness. There are here the raw elements of experience, primarily on the side of self-realization as man exhibits full confidence in his own powers and seeks the support of that audience the world will always provide for the spectacle when anyone is willing to risk major fruits of achievement. Implicit in the symbolism is a need to be up and at the business of life. The keyword is exertion. When positive, the degree is a mobilization of the self’s capacities in a concentrated attempt at self-establishment, and when negative, blind rebellion and a willingness to squander every resource on pseudo values.

This symbol is timely as it speaks to us, reminding us that when we achieve expertise in a chosen area, one gains the sense of self confidence to take risk and criticism. It also alludes to a need to be actively involved in life or where the action is or where it supposedly is not. On one level of existence, this symbol indicates one who enjoys controversy and challenge. What more of a test and a hullabaloo can come about when one appears to others to prefer the sweet art of doing nothing. Especially at this point in time, it seems one need to stride and to achieve for one’s happiness to prove one’s standing among one’s peers. This New Moon is reaffirming that we need to take action, but the action we need to take may be the very action that requires us to be in the moment. Allowing us to do nothing, but to be where we are. This New Moon with the Universe is allowing us some busy-free moments in supporting us in creating the foundation to face the challenges ahead of us.

“Imparting Knowledge Inspires Change Encourages the 22 Libra 32 New Moon Oct 15th 2012”

As the chill of the winds begins to gather, and the summer breezes begin to fade, and with the last of the summer harvest being picked, the cold dark winter days are almost upon us.  This was the time period in the early days of this country, that the preparation to hunt for game, in order to store up for the months ahead, was about to begin.  If the families were to survive the winter, care in deciding and storing up provisions was an important factor for the days ahead.  In this day and age as the summer activities come to an end, a need to prepare for what will be needed to carry us through the wintry weather, is essential in renewing our physical and spiritual bodies for the coming spring.  Regrettably, unlike the days of old, in this modern world, there is a lot to amuse us and the importance and need of refreshing and renewing our inner life has taken a backseat, to the wonderments and excitements of being entertained during the coming months.

Fortunately the Universe in its wisdom and foresight has a plan for us and has given us some difficult aspects to work through and at the same time the Universe also has given us other aspects to help us to successfully accomplish our goals.  Our responsibility is to listen and to work through the messages, which our higher self is communicating to us.  One of the blessings the Universe has selected for us is the up coming 22 Libra 32 New Moon on October 15th 2012 at 5:02 am PDT encouraging and emphasizing that imparting knowledge inspires change.  It is not only the imparting of our knowledge, but at the same time to listen and to learn from others.  We need to remember that we are all connected and need to work together for the benefit for all.  That Mother Earth, the Moon, the Sun and all creation has a message to share, and that message is we all need to focus and to work together in unison, for the benefit of all that inhabit the earth.

“The Sabian symbol for the 23rd degree of Libra is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Libra 23  Chanticleer  this is a symbol of the soul’s ultimate self-realization through a basic integrity of its own insights or judgments, and of the unchallenged acceptance it is able to gain for its particular role in human affairs.  Implicit in the symbolism are the practical rewards which come from the more effectively dramatized distinction of everyday living, and the enduring significance which the self achieves for itself through the place in life it succeeds in making its own.  The keyword is fervor.  When positive, the degree is a fearless self-affirmation which gains a sympathetic attention and wins immediate allegiance from the hearts and minds of everybody, and when negative, ill-starred conceit and ineffective bombast.

The definition of Chanticleer taken from the American Heritage Dictionary is 1.) The rooster  2.) To sing, and I believe the author is implying the rooster is the master of his domain signaling the dawn of day with a loud and boisterous crow.  This symbol speaks of the confidence of the self image and the need for others to recognize and to acknowledge this perception the person has of them self.  The image dramatizes the enthusiasm, ambition, assertiveness, and the pride and the purpose of the position the person holds in the community. It also stresses the need to draw attention to what is important to all involved, and a secondary and more subtle implication, is that a wake-up call to what is important is vital at this moment in time.  The keyword, fervor is the answer to our success at this time, as passion and dedication is the impulse to continue when the going gets a bit rough.  This symbol emphasizes the message of this 22 Libra 32 New Moon that the knowledge is power and that imparting that knowledge inspires change.  Although change is in the air through the aspects that have been lingering in the night sky, knowledge is it’s impetuous.

“Action in Place of Reaction Gives us the Advantage during Mercury Retrograde March 11th 2012”

As the dark winter days continue to dim, making way for the first signs that spring is in the air, about a week before the vernal equinox the first Mercury Retrograde of 2012 begins on March 12th at 6 Aries 48, which appears on the horizon until April 4th  at 23 Pisces 52.  This retrograde is telling us to take action in place of reacting to any situation for our advantage, if we are to get through this period of time with flying colors.     A Retrograde period is when caution, carefulness and retrospection is a necessity to avoid glitches, personal misunderstanding, flawed, disrupted, and delayed communications with ourselves and others.  Although I know there will always be delays and disruptions that we can not avoid during this period, I do believe much of the frustrations and stresses we will experience is caused by our own carelessness because we are reacting to the circumstances, instead of taking a proactive approach to the situations and decisions we encounter.  For some of us, if we begin to develop our foresight and to anticipate the possibilities, we may begin to see this period as a time to appreciate with gratitude the gifts Mercury gives and blesses us with.  As the aphorism “absence makes the heart grow fonder”, the Universe exemplifies this by giving us this period of time to appreciate and to meditate on how Mercury works in our lives by either creating or destroying our desires, which depends on whether we pay attention to how we work with its energy .

“The Sabian symbol for Mercury in 7 degrees of Aries and for Mercury in 24 degrees of Pisces is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Aries 7  A man successfully expressing himself in two realms at once  This is a symbol  of a creative division of labor within the self, such  as distinguishes human kind from the lower orders of life and enables any individual  to participate in the experience of many interpenetrating realms of reality.  There is capacity here for a complete control of events by shifting from one to another focus of emphasis whenever it proves convenient or expedient.  The keyword is proficiency.  When positive, the degree is unlimited versatility and a special gift for divorcing the things of issue from whatever lacks immediate pertinence, and when negative, a tendency to defeat all self-competence in an unintelligent scattering of interest.

Pisces 24  An inhabited island  this is a symbol of the self-adequacy of experience on the objective side of everyday reality, and of man’s gift for the organization of his own private world in any area of his special interest.  He is always able to function in a complete independence of the alien or the unfriendly, and to develop adequate resources for his need in what at the beginning might seem to be the most barren of situations.  He capitalizes on the potentials among which he finds himself, and nurses the least of promise to its fruits.  The keyword is cultivation.  When positive, the degree is achievement through a creative opportunism or inventiveness of exceptional order, and when negative, snobbish complacency and self-indulgence.

This symbol is so appropriate to the message of the retrograde, in that it is speaking to us to develop and to open up to our inherent ability of versatility, adaptability, and our capacity to function in more than one area of concentration and our aptitude to make decisions independently of any circumstances that present itself.  Our skill to multitask gives us a sense of confidence and freedom to make proactive choices, instead of going with the flow that passes around us.  It also speaks to us about our self confidence in our self-reliance to function independently at will at any moment and in any incident to solve or resolve any problem or condition that presents itself.  The image stresses the necessity and the importance to thoroughly being able to and willing to pay attention and to analyze the potential or the problem of our decisions and actions.  By developing this practice, it will become apart of us in time, and in time it will operate without us realizing it.  This asset, which is a gift of the Universe will come in quite handy with whatever we experience through the coming year, and will be the key to the successful completion of our hopes and wishes at this time.  During this Mercury Retrograde we have to take action in place of reaction in which it is to our advantage, in accomplishing that which we wish to accomplish.

“13 Taurus New Moon on May 2nd Is to Let the Essence of our Being Bloom and Shine”

On May 1st annually, the dance around the Maypole is a celebration of the Druids and Romans, that has changed through the years, takes place about halfway between spring and summer to help commemorate the blooming of the flowers, and the mystery of the intertwining of heaven and earth as represented by the union of male and female within all life, and the results of that joining together.  About one day after May Day the New Moon at 12 Taurus 30 at 11:51 p.m. PDT appears on May 2nd 2011, and begins it journey with a stellium of planets (three or more in one sign) in Aries including Uranus, is telling us to let the essence of our being bloom and shine through, and the moment should be now.  This essence that ties us together with the spirit and energy of the Divine and our ability to be in union and in joining with this force, is that essence of being within each of us.  The flames of this essence has dwindle in time as we journey through this life’s experiences, and this moon phase is telling us to rekindle and reinforce this link with our spiritual creator and center, and to appreciate and have gratitude from whence we came.  In this way our decisions and actions will be clearer and our results will be more in tune with the Universe, and our satisfaction and happiness will be within our reach.

“The Sabian symbol for the 13th degree of Taurus is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Taurus 13  A man handling baggage  This is a symbol of the joy in the effort put forth on the practical or everyday side of life, and of the adjustment by which the human individual is able to make his niche for himself in each available sphere of activity.  Here is an extreme of dependence on the strength and resources of self, and emphasis on the fact there is no function in society which is not of equal importance with every other in fulfilling a person’s need to be useful.  The keyword is industry.  When positive, the degree is an effective self-competence and virility of interest in normal living, and when negative, a dissipation of selfhood and depreciation of all ambition through the performance of drudgery without protest.

Understanding the connection we have with our creator and the gift that was given to us by the essence of our being, and always being in tune with the infinite, we need to keep the bonds open and active.  In this way our ideas and being, blooms to their full potential, and we fulfill the purpose of our creation.  In doing so, what ever situation in life we find ourselves in, we will carry out our duty with joy and satisfaction, and with the knowledge that no job or position is inferior in the sight of the Divine.  With Aires in a cardinal and fire sign and with Uranus pulling out all the stop signs, the only way to go is to explore new vistas.  There are many paths forward we can take, but we should not return back, to what once was.  Our usual routine and our way of being is no longer acceptable to who we are and want to become.  This New Moon is reminding us the seed has been planted, and we must allow the Sun, wind, and rain to do their job to bring forth the flowers, that all may see and enjoy.  It is reminding us that it is not our processions or our desires and wishes that makes us who we are, but the essence of our being.  Our essence of being, like the flowers in the fields needs to bloom and shine, and that we must draw closer in learning to appreciate and enjoy being a creation of the Divine, who sustains us.

“Aim for the Bull’s-Eye is our Mantra for the New Moon at 18 Degrees Leo”

Each New Moon period begins a new start, a new beginning, a new view of an old view, but this particular New Moon initiates the first of three Super New Moons in a row which indicates its’ closest distance from the earth.  During this time I personally feel the energy is subtly felt and experience by those who normally don’t feel the affects of the Moon, and those who normally feel it, as a period of extra inspirations and intuitions in their lives.  This New Moon at 17 degrees 24 Leo on August 9, 2010 at 8:09 p.m. PDT is urging us to look within and without ourselves, to begin to see what our thoughts, emotions and possessions signify in the big picture.  We are being called to put our house in order to be prepared, so when the time comes, the difficult aspects of the planets which will manifest themselves into reality in the next couple of years will be solved intelligently.  We will have the foundation, personality and emotions to deal with the tribulations and trials that will lie in front of us.  It is telling us to step back and to take a real look at our selves and pinpoint areas that we need to strengthen and to improve, to help us overcome any adversity.  In other words find the bull’s-eye of our Achilles heel and either change the situation or build a protective shield.  The Universe has given us a time period to retrench and to rebuild our defenses to help us deal with what we need to experience in the coming months.

“The Sabian symbol for the 18th degree of Leo is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Leo 18  A teacher of chemistry  This is a symbol of the human mind’s illimitable power for penetrating into the deeper mysteries of an everyday world, and of the growing ambition of man to gain an effective control over all the processes of nature.  Here is high organization of the intellectual faculties, and a special skill in the practical adaptation of scientific principles to commonplace problems.  The individual is given a full sense of his creative responsibilities.  The keyword is instructions.  When positive, the degree is exceptional self-confidence and a delight in subjecting all experience to the test of immediate application, and when negative, unintelligent dependence on supposition or rules of the book.

If we replace teacher of chemistry with the teacher of the spiritual, religious, occult, or guru and replace instructions with the laws of the Universe, we begin to understand what the Sabian symbol is trying to communicate to us.  By living with and abiding with the Universal Laws we gain wisdom, knowledge and success in our daily lives.  In understanding how the old sayings came about, it is through repetition through the ages that their truths have become known to us.  Working with and understanding the laws of the Universe, we will get through these trying times with flying colors.  So take aim and focus your efforts on those areas that might, are, and will give you trouble in obtaining your dreams and wishes.  Be prepare like the scouts, by remembering the mantra, concentrating your attention and energy on the Bull’s-Eye of our Achilles heel, with understanding and knowledge, working with the Laws of the Universe, and the world will then be at your feet.
