“The Quest for Change Begins with the Self Murmurs the Sag Lunar Eclipse on May 24th 2013”

Sagittarius_2
As time seems to be flying by as if by magic, the predictions for 2013 as a year of the unusual, unexpected and sudden windfalls of change in the political, religious, climatic and economical areas are subtly unfolding. The year of the snake has made it presence known and the next move can only be guessed at. In this atmosphere, one of the most potent and powerful moons of the season, the 4 Sagittarius 6 Lunar Eclipse on May 24th at 9:26 pm PDT makes its appearance, murmuring that the quest for change begins with the self, first, and second with our thoughts. A perceptive notion created in harmony with a divine plan expressed through the aspects of the night sky. We are not able to have the vision for change, or make changes or see the changes as viable, if we don’t first make the change in ourselves. Uranus and Pluto make their third square, combined with the fact that this lunar eclipse is a super moon, indicating its closeness to the earth in a tight square to Neptune is storing up and focusing the energy for whatever we wish to bring into our reality.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 5th degrees of Sagittarius and for the Sun in 5th degrees of Gemini is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Sagittarius 5 An old owl up in a tree This is a symbol of the necessary element of steadiness in human affairs, and of the extent to which the demonstrated and widely accepted values of the life must have their full and functioning part in the immediate reality with which an individual may be seeking to come to terms. Here is the power of man to give an eternal stability or a universal compulsion to whatever seems to call to his own deeper and private potentialities. Emphasized especially is the real dignity of self respect. The keyword is normality. When positive, the degree is exceptional wisdom or effective self-restraint in each detail of personal accomplishment, and when negative, self-betraying intellectual and emotional smugness.

Gemini 5 A radical magazine This is a symbol of the necessary element of change in human affairs, and of the extent to which the remote or the nonpossessed and entirely potential will have its full and functioning part in any immediate reality with which an individual may be seeking to come to terms. Here is the power of man to give high exaltation and dramatic force to whatever succeeds in stirring him deeply with himself. Emphasized in principal and important part is the supremacy of inner over outer compulsions. The keyword is tangency. When positive, the degree is personality in its highly effective capacity for putting its stamp on everything it touches, and when negative, a perverse determination to quarrel with everybody.

This symbol is very appropriate with its message as it speaks to the fact that when we begin to make the necessary changes, stability and staying center to our beliefs will be some of the benefits. It symbolizes our ability to use wisdom, emotional detachment and self control in emphasizing our ability in demonstrating our self respect and our ability to keep silent when it is necessary. It represents our maturity and confidence one gains when adapting to life’s trials and tribulations that are laid in front of one’s path in life. It echoes the need to have the courage to make dramatic changes and to defend what we believe and who we really are. It will make the difference from just succeeding to a successful completion. As we approach the energies of this Lunar Eclipse we need to remind ourselves, if we want to make changes, we must first begin with the self and then with our thoughts.

“To Know and To Be Thyself Emphasizes the 21 Sag 45 New Moon on Dec 13 2012”

As the daylight hours continue to shorten and the winter winds become stronger, we will soon begin to realize that within the darkness lay the mysteries and the reasons of our fears and apprehensions.  And with every shadow lies the uncertainty we must deal with, as we journey through the still of the night.  The winter solstice approaches in connection with the Mayan prophesy announcing the beginning of a new age or epoch about to descend upon us is like the shadows in the dark, we must deal with.  Depending on how we approach these shadows and the attitudes we have at the moment, will determine the success we have in overcoming whatever fears that lies within us, and the accomplishments that will be made.  In this foreboding atmosphere the 21 Sagittarius 45 New Moon makes its appearance on December 13th 2012 at 12:42 am PST emphasizing that to know and to be thyself will be our saving grace in dealing with whatever the future is about to lay in our path for our growth.

With Saturn and Pluto creating a finger of God aspect towards Jupiter, which may trigger major life events that may turnout to be too complicated to handle without caution, understanding and sensitivity, indicating a great need for resourcefulness and creativity to overcome any situations or difficulties we may encounter.  It will take enormous initiative and fortitude to overcome the limitations created by the yod aspect, also known as the finger of God.  Although it is truly a blessing, the first encounter with this aspect allows us to see and experience the difficulties of the growing pains, and the lessons of the trials and the errors one always needs to experience in order to grow.  The lesson here lies in whether we learn from our experiences and move onward and forward, or whether we use the stumbling block as an excuse to continue as we have.  As the solstice indicates a major turning point to reconsider and to rethink where we have been, it is also suggesting that a new era is upon us and that we need to take more care and restraint on the decisions and the directions we are about to embark upon.  We need to move ahead with caution and alertness to the dangers that may abound.

“The Sabian symbol for the 22nd degree of Sagittarius is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Sagittarius 22  A Chinese laundry  This is a symbol of complete self-refinement through the unsuspected or even generally unaccepted activities of the community, and of a consummation of the being through specialized interests which may tend to deny man his more superficial communion with his fellows.  A richness of living comes from a concentration on goals with remote reward, and from an association in spirit with souls of very high achievement.  Here is imaginative self sustainment through unremitting hard labor.  The keyword is seclusion.  When positive, the degree is an unusual gift for maintaining poise and self-perspective in every unfamiliar or alien situation, and when negative, unnecessary acceptance of self-inferiority.

This symbol speaks to us of self-refinement and the total environment of providing a service by physical or mental means which would improve the self assessment of the individual and by giving the individual the confidence to go into the world with integrity and honor to fulfill their purpose in this life.  The laundry may appear to be menial and unimportant in affecting the course of our lives, but with cleaned and pressed garments, the person goes forth into the world with confidence and assurance.  This enforces and confirms the message of the night sky, that in truly knowing who we really are and being able to express it, is like having clean clothes creating an atmosphere which enhances our ability to deal with any circumstances and come out of it with flying colors.  Who we are, is symbolic like the clean attire we put on, it reinforces our self-confidence, allowing the world to see us as we really are and wish to be.  To know thyself is one of the essential ingredients for success, to be oneself is the motivation factor that materializes. The Sagittarius New Moon is telling us to know and to be thyself is the impetus to make things happen as the world enters into a new epoch of growth.

“In the Shadow of Our Secrets is the Answer Says the 6 Gemini 46 Lunar Eclipse Nov 28 2012”

Eclipses of any kind are major and powerful transits that can openly or ingeniously effect us, depending on how it aspects our charts, either directly influencing us or forcing us to move onward and forward, increasing our awareness that our survival depends on our growth.  Even if we are not directly affected by the aspect, the essence of its energy and power subtly moves through our actions and thoughts.  With the night sky moving into an aspect representing pent-up energy about to be released, like a sleeping volcano about to be reawakened and with Mercury Retrograde finishing its cycle for our calendar year, the message is loud and clear.  As the 6 Gemini 46 Lunar Eclipse makes its appearance on November 28th 2012 at 6:46 am PST, it is telling us that in the shadows of our secrets is the answer we need to help us through the good and bad times we are about to experience.  In the shadows lie our presumptions, our fears, our hurts and our doubts that keep us from stepping courageously into the unknown and seeking for the light and the answer at the end of the tunnel of life.  Until the light dims, only then are we able to step out of the limelight and to see who we really are and where we really want to direct our efforts to obtain the joy and satisfaction, we truly seek.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 7th degrees of Gemini and for the Sun in 7th degrees of Sagittarius is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Gemini 7  An old-fashion well  This is a symbol of the unimpeachable source of life on the side of personal self-renewal and simple organic integrity.  Implicit in the symbolism is the purity of everything adding up to any individual character, and the curious capacity of man to remain himself whenever he enters in relationship with others and encourages the assimilation of their reality into his own.  He draws in and gives out the substance of himself continuously, and is rewarded by nature as he expends himself in this process of continuing to be.  The keyword is recompense.  When positive, the degree is absolute self-reliance and uncompromising faithfulness, and when negative, insensibility and ineptness in all human contact.

Sagittarius 7  Cupid knocking at the door  This is a symbol of the unimpeachable resources of life on the side of social self-renewals and psychological self-fulfillment.  Implicit in the symbolism are the incurably romantic leanings of mankind and the consequent willingness of the individual to refine or alter every aspect of his own being as a means for entering into self-quickening relations with others.  He associates with his fellows and then breaks the ties he makes with them, but in time he achieves a spiritual integrity.  The keyword is allurement.  When positive, the degree is an insatiable appetite for enlarged experience and highly self-consummative intimacies and when negative, self-exaltation and unbridled desire.

This symbol speaks to us of the source that nourishes and maintains life as we know it through regeneration and revitalization.  It reminds us that in order to sustain life with what we know is the source of well being; we must make sure that it has not been contaminated, before we make use of it.  The same is true with our thoughts and ideas which are the foundation of our philosophy and integrity, in that it is not infected by our fears, our hurts and our doubts.  Implicit in the meaning is the need to give of ourselves to the good of all that has been created, or be like water that has become stagnate that brings diseases or dries up in time.  At the same time it points to a need to have passion in what one believes in.  Being passionate indicates a willingness to change or improvise one’s attitude and one’s behavior in order to achieve one’s goals and wishes.  Our greatest advantage lies in being willing to put aside our disappointments and failures and to make the needed improvements and to be prepare for the next opportunity that comes along.  This Gemini Lunar Eclipse is telling us that in the shadows of our secrets are the answers.  The answer is facing up to our fears, our hurts, and our doubts and the solution will follow.

“Lover Come Back to Me Sings Mercury Retrograde on Nov 6th 2012”

It seems to me that there is always something or someone, which one can not be without and at the same time, to be with.  This is the type of association I always seem to have with Mercury Retrograde.  The planet in retrograde comes around in such a cyclic manner, that it is and here today and gone tomorrow, just as quickly as my love and hate relationship with the planet, does.  When retrograde comes back to me, my love for the time we spend remembering and meditating on what has passed and seeing what clutter needs to be thrown out with those bits and pieces we are keeping to be organized to be use in the future, are the times I cherished and have planned for.  What I hate about retrograde is the need to handle this period of time with caution, with carefulness, with retrospection in order to avoid glitches, with possible personal misunderstandings, with delays, with flawed and disrupted communications.  Mercury Retrograde will be singing “lover, come back to me” as it makes its appearance on November 6th 2012 at 4 Sagittarius 16 R until it turns direct on November 26th 2012 at 18 Scorpio 11.  His stay this time will be highlighted with a Solar Eclipse joining the reunion bringing excitement, tension and unexpected escapades.

“The Sabian symbol for the Mercury Retrograde in 5h degrees of Sagittarius and for the Mercury Direct in 19th degrees of Scorpio is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Sagittarius 5  An old owl up in a tree  This is a symbol of the necessary element of steadiness in human affairs, and of the extent to which the demonstrated and widely accepted values of life must have their full and functioning part in the immediate reality with which an individual may be seeking to come to terms.  Here is the power of man to give an eternal stability or a universal compulsion to whatever seems to call to his own deeper and private potentialities.  Emphasized especially is the real dignity of self-respect.  The keyword is normality.  When positive, the degree is exceptional wisdom or effective self-restraint in each detail of personal accomplishment, and when negative, self-betraying intellectual and emotional smugness.

Scorpio 19  A parrot listening and then talking  This is a symbol of the raw substance of intelligence, and it suggests that conscious existence can be shaped according to any desired lineaments.  Inherent in the symbolism is a sensitiveness to the continual reworking of reality on the ideal or imaginative side, and to the opportunity the individual may have for selecting or rejecting every essential element of his make-up.  Man continually projects the image in which he creates him self.  The keyword is conventionality.  When positive, the degree is exceptional skill in bringing the whole tenor of transient circumstances to the service of a personal aspiration, and when negative, the idle mimicry and self-gratifying pretense.

These symbols speaks to the need to go within our higher self during this period of time to seek the wisdom of restraint and stability with the importance of staying centered and aware of the world around us.  The image represents astuteness, emotional detachment and extreme self control.  The emphasis and the need at this time is to demonstrate dignity, self respect and the knowledge of when to keep silent in any situation that present itself, knowing that our actions may have ramifications we may regret.  To avoid stress and frustrations that can be magnified out of proportion to the reality and actuality of the situation.  With the Solar Eclipse joining the party, it is emphasizing the importance of paying attention and living the moment, as it is vital and essential during this interlude in time.  The significance in allowing our sensitivity and awareness to be grounded is critical to any success.  With the aspects in the night sky, it is telling us that we need to pay attention to our actions, realizing and understanding that our actions and the consequences will reverberate into the future.  Mercury Retrograde is reminding each of us as he sings “Lover come back to me” that the consequences of our actions have a habit of returning and haunting us.  Make sure our thoughts and actions are thoughtfully and carefully worked out during this point in time, is the message he is singing to us.

“The Wisdom and Solutions is Within Illuminates the 14 Sag 13 Lunar Eclipse on June 4th 2012”

All around the globe in the ancient world, eclipses of any sort has frightened, confused and excited mankind for millennia.  Today we have become so blaze that we no longer cower in the wake of it, but see it as phenomenon to behold as a side show from the Universe.  As the night winds begins to blow, cooling the evening from the scorching rays and heat of the sun during the day, the second eclipse of the year in the form of a partial Lunar Eclipse at 14 Sagittarius 13 at 4:11 am PDT on June 4th 2012 is happening.  The moon is stating and illuminating the fact that the wisdom and solutions to our difficulties and problems, may lie within, instead of looking outside of ourselves.  With this phase of the moon in trine to Uranus, square to Mars and in opposition to Venus and to Mercury, it is reminding us, that it is in  how we think, view and take action in any situation that confronts us, that will be the difference from success and failure.  Our successful accomplishment may not be apparent to ourselves or to others, but our inner self will know what path we have taken or need to take.  We may not win, but neither will we ever lose, if our purpose is connected with noble and spiritual ideas.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 15 degrees of Sagittarius and for the Sun in 15 degrees of Gemini is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Sagittarius 15  The ground hog looking for its shadow  This is a symbol of the creative interest of the immediate set or drift of the potentialities on which he must depend.  Here is his direct rehearsal of experience through an anticipation of eventualities, or an unhesitating and thoroughly practical trial and error.  Implicit in the symbolism is a consistent sensitiveness to straws in the wind, and a willingness to make any amount of self-adjustment in order to capitalize on the situation of the moment.  The keyword is reassurance.  When positive, the degree is a natural talent for determining the proper course of action or reaction in any given issue, and when negative, lack of self-stability and ingrained timidity.

Gemini 15  Two Dutch children talking  This is a symbol of the creative interest of man in the broad range of potentialities on which he may draw.  His rehearsal of experience  here becomes vicarious and a matter of childlike or unconditioned familiarity with the simple contributions of the self to its milieu at root, thus facilitating a more effective grasp of life on every practical or everyday level.  All relationships are reduced to common elements of background and skills.  The keyword is clarification.  When positive, the degree is self-confidence of spirit by which man is able to establish himself advantageously at ease in any possible situation, and when negative, extreme provincialism and inability to communicate ideas of any moment.

This symbol connects and works so closely with the message from the aspects occurring in the night sky, in that it is saying to us to trust our higher intuition and its keen sensitivity in seeing beyond what the physical appearances allows us to understand and to comprehend.  In so doing we connect with our subconscious in our attempt to see into the future or predict possible outcomes.  In this way we develop the willingness, flexibility and the ability to make whatever changes that are needed to accomplish our objectives, wishes and hopes.  The keyword here is investigation, to look before we leap into the abyss.  In this way it gives us a head start in the right direction.  Our special capacity and ability to connect and bond with others with the same interest and concern, will help us to improvise something together to achieve a successful conclusion, we would not be able to achieve alone.  Our greatest gift from the Universe is our ability to grow and learn from challenging difficulties and situations.  As we experience the Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse, may we go within our own holy quiet place and remind our selves that the wisdom and the solutions are within.

“Focus on Getting it Right Emphasizes the 18 Gemini 10 Lunar Eclipse on Dec 10 2011”

Eclipses are extra potent moon phases signaling a beginning or completion of a major lesson or lessons in life, thus marking turning points and opportunities.  We need to pay attention, to be alert, and to take steps in making it a reality.  This particular Lunar Eclipse at 18 Gemini 10 at 6:38 am PST on December 10th 2011 is emphasizing that we need to focus on getting it right at this point in time, is no exception.  Fortunately or unfortunately, accordingly to how each of us will experience this eclipse, the Universe is taking dramatic steps in reassuring and revealing to each of us the areas we need to concentrate on, if we are to experience a better tomorrow.  It is still up to each of us to be sensitive and aware of the message and to act upon it.  If we haven’t gotten the message so far from Uranus to make changes in our lives, by the planet entering into the sign of Aires, we no longer have the time to wait and see what happens.  The planet is going to push us into areas we are not familiar with, ready or not.  To keep us from continuing on the wrong path, the Universe may place us in a sink or swim situation to get us to the realization that change of direction is no longer a choice, but a necessity.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 19 degrees of Gemini and for the Sun in 19 degrees of Sagittarius is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Gemini 19  A large archaic volume  This is a symbol of the ultimate indestructibility of experience, so that any path once traversed may taken again with a greater ease and a broader self-discovery.  There is here the assurance of illimitable resources in wisdom, and the suggestion that this heritage may be made manifest at any time in an immediate and practical guidance.  The past always provides an illumination of the present, and man achieves best as he cultures a real sense of obligation to his own roots.  The keyword is background.  When positive, the degree is a special capacity for the recovery of prior advantages or the effective disentanglement of present involvements, and when negative, a slavish worship of tradition and authority.

Sagittarius 19  Pelicans moving their habitat  This is a symbol of the ultimate integrity of individual character, with each particular skill and capacity incorporated in selfhood as a potential of self-competency for subsequent refinement.  There are here illimitable resources of experience, so that when life becomes unprofitable in one phase there are always additional areas of realization in which the being may have its prompt reestablishment.  Man achieves best as he makes the fullest use of his own immediate genius.  The keyword is frontier.  When positive, the degree is the indomitable originality by which the human spirit remains at a forefront of everyday accomplishment, and when negative, an unreasonable attitude and fundamentally unsocial instincts.

These symbols with its aspects in the night sky are forcing us to articulate where we are coming from and to where our final destination will be.  To understand and to realize that the way we been doing things may no longer be the way to accomplish all that we desire and wish for.  Though it is a necessity to learn and work with the past, it may not be necessary to incorporate those ideas in materializing the future.  It is also important to have the wisdom and flexibility to turn on a dime so to speak, if the direction we are taking appears to be heading in the wrong direction.  Adaptability is a gift from Uranus that needs to be used to its fullest potential to insure that we think in new ways for answers to any of our difficulties at the moment.  We must face any situation with enthusiasm, courage, joy and knowledge with the understanding that all new beginnings are frontiers to the unknown which will bring to fruition new solutions.  Uranus is asking us to rethink how we think, and to reorganize and to see in a new light what is important in our lives.  As this Lunar Eclipse approaches its completion we need to focus on getting it right this time around.

“With High Hopes There Goes Another Rubber Tree Plant Sings the 3 Sag Solar Eclipse”

As the winter nights and the global financial situation seems to be in a slow mode, a chance for change of attitude and hope, and a time to make a difference is in the air with 02 Sagittarius 36 partial Solar Eclipse at 10:10 pm PST on November 24th 2011.  Eclipses are extra potent moon phases signaling a beginning or completion of a major lesson or lessons in life.  Another important aspect is that this is the last of the six super moons for the year which indicates its’ closest distance from the earth and the importance its influence may have in our lives in the coming weeks.  Coincidentally it is happening at the end of the day during the celebration of Thanksgiving in theUnited States.  With a stellium in Sagittarius and a trine involving Jupiter, Pluto, and Mars, it is reminiscent of the song “High Hopes” written by Sammy Cahn from the film “A Hole in the Head (1959).  The song tells of an ant with high hopes against insurmountable odds, and finally moving a rubber tree plant.  It is a song and story of overcoming the impossible and the unthinkable, because of determination.  Whoops, there goes another rubber tree plant.

This reminds us that any situations or circumstances needs to be thought thoroughly through if we are to begin to understand if things needs to be revised, updated or a complete new direction be instituted.  If change is what is indicated, a thorough understanding and strategy, is a must and should be considered and worked on before jumping into any solution without knowing of a successful outcome.   If the remedy to the solution seems to be impossible, the aspects in the night sky are saying to us to use the energy of the planets to decide the next step.  Reminding us that high hopes with positive thinking and thoughts combine with determination with an open mind will allow us to find the answer and lead us through the dark tunnel to the light and to safety.  The Universe is reminding us that all is energy, and that the mind which is energy can transform and create.  The aphorism that “birds of a feather flock together” is more a universal law that is always at work, more then we realize or pay attention to.  Keeping our thoughts with high hopes and positive thinking will attract its similarities to it, bringing more ideas and successful completions into reality.

“The Sabian symbol for the 3rd degree of Sagittarius is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Sagittarius 3  Two men playing chess  This is a symbol of the self-confidence and authority which come to man through his refinement of skills and discipline of understanding, and of his capacity for mobilizing every potentiality of self at any point of challenge in events.  Here is emphasis on the individual’s effective and profitable participation in a reality which he has been able to approach and master through the completeness of his perspective.  His gift of concentration is his genius of self-fulfillment.  The keyword is ability.  When positive, the degree is high sensitiveness to every possibility of accomplishment of broadened self-discovery, and when negative, unsuspected bigotry or foolish exactitude.

This symbol speaks to the extraordinary mastery of our mental abilities expressing our foresight, imagination, keen insight, sustained concentration and the anticipation of the thoughts and actions of others and the consequences of these actions.  It is also our ability to profit and learn from our trials and errors, the routines of others, the laws of nature, and our natural ability to improvise, respond and quickly react effectively and forcefully when the unexpected happens.  Our love of intellectual competition and sportsmanship with either our self or others is one of our innate needs.  With the above assets, talents and techniques under our belt in hand with high hopes, positive thoughts and determination, how can we fail?  We may not win like we hoped, but we will not have lost either, but have gained knowledge and wisdom to achieve our wishes and goals at the end.  So with high hopes, there goes another rubber tree plant.
