“Convey and Sustain Our Beliefs Repeats the 21 Cap 45 New Moon on Jan 11 2013”

Starting from scratch or restarting over, one needs to begin with a clean slate, and this is demonstrated and exemplified as it is akin to the start of a calendar year or a New Moon that marks the beginning of a new cycle of possibilities, opportunities, potentials, discoveries and advantages that is within one’s reach.  Throwing out the clutter, the thoughts and the confusions that accumulate through time and assorting those that are kept, according to one’s present priorities.  These feelings and concepts are still within our consciousness and are backed by our New Year resolutions just recently made.  In this atmosphere the first New Moon  in the calendar year makes it’s appearance at 21 Capricorn 45 on January 11th 2013 at 11:44 am PST repeating and embellishing the thought that we need to convey and sustain our beliefs, as we begin a New Year and new epoch of growth, if we hope to maintain balance in our world.

A stellium is a conjunction of planets and with this period of time in the night sky includes the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Pluto, Venus and Juno in Capricorn.  It is concentrating its energy and power, indicating a period of renewal and reenergized effort in getting things completed and finished.  With this force and power directed by the Universe, we as individuals need to work with these energies to improve and to reach our own dreams and desires.  These planets are asking us to help transform, transcend and to make a commitment to our beliefs, our relationships and to what we consider that has influence and meaning in our lives.  How we and others around us, see our energies, our time, our talents, our assets, our resources and how we work with these qualities will determine our results, our success, our happiness, our satisfactions and what we consider to be important and what we will achieve during this period of time.

“The Sabian symbol for the 22nd degree of Capricorn is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Capricorn 22  A general accepting defeat gracefully  This is a symbol of the immediate opportunities by which the human will develops the real power, and of its underlying and uncompromising loyalty to the long-range ends in view.  A realistic practicality is made effective through a self-disciplined grace of spirit, so that men are won over very often by the enemy they have defeated.  The individual exalts his destiny as he finds its roots established in values accepted by his fellows as well as himself.  The keyword is expediency.  When positive, the degree is a genius for learning from experience and transforming setback into accomplishment, and when negative, irresponsible acceptance of the worst and insensibility to self-inadequacy.

This symbol is so timely, as it is implying and at the same time insisting that we see and consider the whole picture and situation we are in, and by deciding on a strategy before any decision or action can be made.  It is asking us to face the facts of the circumstances, and if it is inevitable that we need to admit to defeat or to retreat, one needs to lay a side one’s pride and strategically plan and devise other avenues and solutions.  It illustrates and demonstrates the principle that to lose a situation or several in a row does not mean that we do not successfully accomplish what we set out do in the first place.  In its most positive aspect, it is turning every loss to an advantage and every defeat to a victory.  To remember that every set back is temporary and is something we learn from and learn to overcome or work with.  The key is our strategy and our ability to adapt and improvise when needed.  This Capricorn New Moon is repeating, reminding and embellishing that how we convey and sustain our beliefs is the foundation of our strategy in life and how we put it to use in achieving our goals and wishes.

“Addressing the Real Issues is the First Step says the 7 Cancer 7 full Moon on Dec 28th 2012”

Within a week of the Winter Solstice, as the cold continues its grip with the night at their longest and darkest, the 7 Cancer 7 Full Cold Moon makes its appearance on December 28th 2012 at 2:23 am PST reemphasizing that addressing the real issues is the first step to ensure success in any venture.  The Long Night Moon is another appropriate term given to this moon because it is above the horizon a very long time during the midwinter night.  Some difficult aspects in the night sky are subtly influencing us to make some major changes, especially in how we see and view ourselves and what we stand for.  This perception of how we see ourselves is essential if we are to make any progress in our growth, happiness and satisfaction in our lives.  Once we begin to understand where we really are coming from and who we really are, only then can we begin to sift through any situation to uncover the actual issues that have brought about the conditions we are facing.  Without discovering the real issues, we would be going around in a circle hoping to get to the cause in order to find a solution to the matter, and never finding the answer.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 8th degrees of Cancer and for the Sun in 8th degrees of Capricorn is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Cancer 8  Rabbits dressed in clothes and on parade  This is a symbol of the upward reach of consciousness towards spirit, or of the necessity in all worth-while experience that events in some fashion make their continual and stimulating contribution to whatever values the self may be building into its own nature.  The habiliments of higher implications are always available for a lower life to wear experimentally, thus sharing in what as yet it has not been able to assimilate to itself.  The real is established as it is dramatized.  The keyword is appropriation.  When positive, the degree is unlimited assurance in any projection of self into a superior dimension of reality, and when negative, an ingenuous substitution of affirmation for accomplishment.

Capricorn 8  Birds in the house singing happily  This is a symbol of the descent of spirit or intelligence into every last ramification of everyday reality, and of man’s self-fulfillment as he is successful in shaping circumstances or precipitating events so that they become the ultimate and outward revelation of that higher vision by which he continues to be himself at core.  Here is the actual and impregnable independence of the individual, evident as at length he is able to make his world his own and call on all to share it with him.  The keyword is establishment.  When positive, the degree is an insatiable urge to put everything to use and to employ every least talent of self, and when negative, idle narcissism.

This symbol speaks to us of the clarification and formulation of the role-playing and mental rehearsals we have with ourselves that we use in order to discover what we think is our real self and our inner needs.  It represents our aspiration, our ambition, our imagination, our positive thinking and our ability to use our creative energies and to bring it into reality.  At the same time when everything seems to fall into place or out of place, it speaks to us of our ability to create the reality associated with it, as in happiness and as in delight or as in misery and as in despair according to the circumstances at hand.  The aspects in the night sky in connection with the sabian symbols emphasize the power of the mind and our thoughts.  By coming to terms of whom we are and who we wish to be, then only can we see the power of our thoughts and ideas.  Only then can we truly discover the truth to what confronts us.  It is important for us to address this at this point in time, as we are at the end of one cycle of time and are about to start another.  As we face up to this Full Moon, may we have the courage to step up to the plate and address the real issues instead of side stepping the problem.

“The 12 Capricorn 13 Full Moon on July 3 2012 Says the Tip of the Iceberg is Sinking”

For the last few years the difficult aspects of squares and oppositions have been making their existence felt, here and there.  The shouts of change have filled the air, but the results have been very dubious with very little results, that actually made any difference in the global situation.  The conjunction of Pluto with the moon starts a new cycle of radical transformation with a square to Uranus initiating a foremost turning point, something we haven’t seen for a quite awhile.  With these aspects the 12 Capricorn 13 Full Moon makes its appearance on July 3rd 2012 at 11:53 am PDT saying to everyone that the tip of the iceberg is sinking.  This is indicating to us that the situation is getting worst and the actions we need to take can no longer wait.  To react as we have been, has done nothing so far.  The Universe is about to push us into a situation, where we no longer have a choice, but to make some drastic changes in a creative and courageous way.  Within about a week and a half, both Mercury and Uranus will be turning retrograde, forcing us to look within ourselves for the answers.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 13 degrees of Capricorn and for the Sun in 13 degrees of Cancer is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Capricorn  13  A fire worshiper  This is a symbol of man’s inner strength through his realization of an inviolable  tie with creative power of the universe itself, dramatized by hiss continual outreach to the divine in a spiritualizing of his aspiration and a dedication of his talents and possessions to the over-all reality.  He knows he must demonstrate his ultimate independence of his circumstances or else surrender his own potentialities forever.  Here is ideality brought to the point of miracle.  The keyword is magic.  When positive, the degree is extraordinary skill in enlisting every resource of the world for the exaltation of self and the consummation of its ambitions, and when negative, consistent overestimation of personal capacity.

Cancer 13  One hand slightly flexed with a very prominent thumb  This is a symbol of that belief in his inherent supremacy over all other orders of nature by which man is characterized most fundamentally, dramatized by his quite normal confidence in his ability to deal with every eventuality of day-by-day activity and relationship.  Any individual must rule his environment or surrender his own potentialities forever.  Here is practicality brought to the point of ruthlessness.  The keyword is determination.  When positive, the degree is exceptional steadiness and a high sense of self-responsibility in every issue of the moment, and when negative, unnecessary aggressiveness and a self-defeating shortsightedness.

This symbol is empowering us because of the knowledge and wisdom that with the miracle of spiritual transformation we are inseparably linked with our creator.  The emphasis is on the devotion, on the hope, on the faith and on the inspiration that our creative power is within, and is connected with the Creator, to generate that which we desire.  This symbol points to our devotion, and our belief that everything we have and are, is because of a higher power.  This speaks to us of the exceptional discipline, control, responsibility and strength we have within, with our unshakeable confidence in our ability to handle whatever problems and tribulation that comes our way.  This symbol is reminding us to reconnect with the creator, to go within our sacred abode, that the solutions are within and easily accessible.  The tip of the iceberg is sinking and disappearing says this Capricorn Full Moon, as it is a wake up call that we can no longer avoid to find the solutions to our problems.  There can be no more delays, as we need to make some drastic changes before it is too late and are forced into it.

“Let Your Inner Light Shine Beams the 2 Capricorn 34 New Moon on Dec 24th 2011”

A few days after we begin our sojourn through the winter solstice during the cold and dark nights, we will come upon the 2 Capricorn 34 New Moon at 10:07 am PST on December 24th 2011.  With the outer planets in beneficial support and with Jupiter in trine, this moon phase is beaming its message to us that we need to let our inner light shine and to no longer to allow itself to hide under a bushel.  As this moon is following in the footsteps of a solar and lunar eclipse, and on the eve of Christmas and other mid winter religious and secular celebrations, it is asking us to reawaken, revitalize, relight, and to anticipate the birth and rebirth of our inner self, to become a beacon of hope through our journey through the darkness.  As the celebrations of the light bring cheer to the dreariness of winter, our own inner light intermingling with all others will bring cheer to all those around us as we wait patiently for the coming of spring.

With the outer planets at the beginning of their signs, it is showing us the necessity and importance to rid ourselves of old and out of date habits and to seek new assessments and reforms.  This will need to be on our list to do, if we are to be prepared for what is ahead of us in the New Year.  This period of time is not only asking us to let our light shine brightly, but to be a guiding light and example for others to follow and to emulate.  Pluto conjuncts this moon, is intensifying the message of transmutation, transformation and revitalization of all we think and stand for in which we will need to actualize into reality.  Pluto is asking us to face our shadowy side to be able to see our true light in order to have and maintain the courage to go forward in the dark to the light at the end of the tunnel.  With beneficial aspects to Neptune and Uranus, our visions and imaginations have no boundaries.

The Sabian symbol for the 3rd degree of Capricorn is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Capricorn 3  The human soul receptive to growth and understanding  This is a symbol of mankind’s fundamentally naïve capacity for experience, and of every individual’s equally fundamental dependence on the understanding and support of fellow participants in each moment of self-discovery.  Here is a delight in normal living, not through its limitation but rather through a reiterated release of selfhood.  Life is found to be real and rewarding because it may be encountered in such infinite ramifications of itself.  The keyword is avidity.  When positive, the degree is a gift for entering into the kaleidoscopic patterns of personal relationship with an unbounded enthusiasm, and when negative, simple shiftlessness or abandon.

This image symbolizes our simple childlike acceptance without any fear or suspicion to experience friendliness, eagerness, openness, trust, receptivity and living and being in the moment.  The image represents our understanding and receptiveness for the importance of growth and development in this life.  Our delight, satisfaction, joy and purpose are uncovered in our discovery when we realize and comprehend that the opportunities and the experiences that are laid in our path are unlimited and full.  Our gain is in making sure that we are attentive and alert to the circumstances and in the understanding and knowing what our advantages and disadvantages are.  Living the moment with keen intent and enthusiasm are the keywords for success.  This Capricorn New Moon is asking us to allow our light to shine, in doing so, the road to our happiness and satisfaction will become clear to us.

“Methodical Persistence Creates Metamorphosis with the 3 Scorpio 2 New Moon on Oct 26th”

As the daylight becomes shorter and the dark of the night becomes longer, and the winds commence to blow with the weather getting colder, we are pressed by the subliminal to realize our need to revisit, reinvent, and reenergize our thinking.  As the winter begins to claim its share of the year, our instincts and intuition is telling our subconscious and our soul, that we need to store up, knowledge and information so we may arrange them into a logical sequence for use when the time is right.  As the ideas and thoughts are molded into our desires and are taken hold by our subconscious, only then will they blossom and materialize, creating mental magic.  With all new moons we are given a blank slate to begin new projects, and there is no exception with 3 Scorpio 2 New Moon on October 26 2011 at 12:55 pm PDT which is urging us that methodical persistence creates metamorphosis.

The New Moon is in opposition to Jupiter in Taurus, is trine toNeptunein Aquarius, is sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, and with Mars in Leo sextile to Saturn in Libra.  These aspects are asking us to question our understanding of our beliefs, morals, rules and regulations we stand for and defend as our own, in which we live by.  If there is any reasonable doubt our viewpoint is not just and fair to all, because our perceptions and our ability to see through the mist of illusions and delusions at this time may be hindered.  We must be flexible and be able to improvise a solution that can deliver what we believe and what we stand for.  We need to acquire the intensity and the methodical persistence to follow through what we started and believe in.  At this point in time, it is not important that we accomplish the fulfillment of our desires and the purpose of our sojourn, but the way and the how we try to bring it about, which is vital to our wellbeing.

“The Sabian symbol for the 4th degree of Virgo is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Scorpio 4  A youth holding a lighted candle  This is a symbol of a true contact with inner and transcendental realms of reality, and of the rewards to the spirit which come from a realization of the continuing ties between the least of individuality and universal life as such.  There are always evidences of higher meaning and immortal value in each moment’s detail of everyday living, and there is an enthusiasm which arises from an ever-clear vision to bring every possible sustainment to man in his outer and practical world.  The keyword is reliance.  When positive, the degree is an unquenchable and irresistible confidence in the goodness and integrity of all things, and when negative, a simple-minded impracticality if not a very unhealthy self-obsession.

This Sabian symbol emphasizes the need to come into this world with the innocence and the wonderment of a child and in having the wisdom, the respect and the understanding of the implications the candle represents and stands for.  This candle speaks to us of enlightenment, vision, inspiration, clarification, illumination, radiance and discernment in all matters.  Its light brings an awareness of the ultimate sacredness of all life, and the message, that the divine spirit flows through all life and matter.  This light in the dark represents discernment and searching for higher meanings and significances in every experience.  The candlelight points the way for others in the dark to see things more clearly and to lead the way out of darkness.  Even with knowledge and wisdom, unrelenting action is needed to reach the goals we set for ourselves and once there we will come to the realization, we have changed.  The transformation may be more dramatic then we may become conscious of.  To achieve our purpose and to bring about change, we need to follow the message of this Scorpio Moon, which urges us that methodical persistence creates metamorphosis.

“The 22 Capricorn 27 Full Moon on July 14th 2011 Nudges Us To Be or Not To Be”

As we move away from the three eclipses in a row which have been trying to give us a clue to life’s mysteries and to help us to understand, to redirect, to reaffirm our itinerary and to be open to what really matters.  The next phase begins as the Full Moon at 22 Capricorn 27 starting at 11:40 pm PDT on July 14th – 15th which culminates in nudging us to answer the call “to be or not to be, that is the question?”  After several months of some of the planets forming a stellium, the Universe that has pushed, pulled, reshape and has tried to redirect our goals and wishes, is giving us an ultimatum with Saturn in Libra trine Mars in Gemini, square Venus in Cancer, that changes are needed.  For those who have not made an effort for change, the Universe is now forcing our hand to take action that we need to do something before it becomes too late to make a difference.  It is becoming who we are and what we really want to do in life that is the urgent agenda being amplified at the moment.  When all the doubts and fears are laid aside and what and whom we need to be, comes to the forefront, then and only then do we have the ability and confidence to work through any trials and tribulations our previous actions and thoughts have created for us.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 23 degrees of Capricorn and for the Sun in 23 degrees of Cancer is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Capricorn 23  Two awards for bravery in war  This is a symbol of man’s resourcefulness in developing new areas of experience on the practical side, and of his genius for dramatizing  the fruits of an everyday aliveness and thereby stimulating a broadened self-expenditure.  The continual effort of an idealistic leadership to hold social and political gains demands an exaltation of personal vision and character, and in understanding of his fellows.  The goal of living becomes a preservation of values.  The keyword is recognition.  When positive, the degree is the social stewardship which demands a continual self-dedication, and when negative, strutting self –exploitation.

Cancer 23  Meeting of a literary society  This is a symbol of man’s resourcefulness in developing new areas of experience on the imaginative side, and of his genius for widening his interests and stimulating everybody to broader ideals and more rewarding goals in everyday living.  The continual re-examination of a general intellectual and aesthetic inheritance becomes a heightening of personal identity, and the individual achieves a very genuine estimation of his fellows.  The keyword is criticism.  When positive, the degree is accomplishment through an exacting appreciation of common effort and a rigorous revaluation of private acts and attitudes, and when negative, a substitution of idle discussion for actual participation in reality.

As we continue our incarnation in this life, we need to recognize and understand that our sojourn in this world is like entering a battle field full of explosive mines which we need to navigate with wisdom and intuition to avoid any mishaps or injuries.  Our rewards and honors comes from the fact that we realize that some of the frustrations, problems, obstructions, and obstacles in life where of our own making.  Life’s problem has been placed in front of our path for our growth and development and should not be taken for granted, but be appreciated for the experience and awareness it instills in each of us.  That troubles and frustrations created by our own stupidity and misunderstanding may be easily changed to be a help, instead of a hindrance.  Another reward one obtains from living is the ability to learn from one’s mistakes which turns into knowledge, which then cooperates with wisdom and intuition to create the life we are looking and hoping for.  The moment we take charge of our life and become what and who we want to be, the magic of creating and working with our life in a inspired uplifting manner will be manifested into reality.  If one still hasn’t discovered oneself yet, this Full Moon is nudging us to answer the call “to be or not to be?”

“Essential Dignities are Indispensable in Delineating a Chart with Impact!”

One thing I have realized about astrology is that it is a subject matter that one needs to continue to study and research, that never quits and keeps on going and going.  What I haven’t always realized or considered, is that what ever is studied and memorized at one point needs to be reevaluated from time to time to gain a different perspective, understanding or impact, as we continue our growth on the astrological path.  I have learnt through experience that the same thought and idea under consideration will offer different implications at different time periods of my life.  I am not sure if it is because my thoughts have matured, or am I looking at it from a different angle or point of view?  Whatever happens, it seems that these new insights come about when reviewing an old subject matter already studied.  This always happens when I restudy a subject and it especially was evident when I reexamined essential dignities with a traditional astrological mindset, which instilled in me a totally different way of looking at my self and others.  It isn’t that the knowledge wasn’t there all the time, it is just that I didn’t realize how to apply it or I didn’t investigate far enough into the subject matter to uncover the gem and treasure contained within, what a fantastic surprise.

My first teacher whom I have great respect for, gave the subject matter a quick going over and seems to have used it sporadically during the course of our study.  With all that we were learning, the essential dignities sat in the back shelf of my memory for occasional use when I felt the need for it.  In trying to establish a firm foundation into traditional methods, my research and study showed that the dignities play more of an important role in the delineation of a chart then modern astrologers give it credit for, which gives a more interesting and complex picture then I could ever imagine or makeup in my imagination.  Although the dignities play an essential part in horary delineation, its work in the natal is as important and vital to the ancients in understanding the natal chart and the individual within.  In considering the dignities, one must remember there are the essential elements and rules that consistently apply to the planets within the signs.  The accidental dignities occurs when the quality, energy and strength of a planet is fortified by being direct, swift in motion, angular, free from combustion, in a beneficial aspect to a fortunate planet or conjunct an auspicious fixed star.

The first dignity is the ruler of the sign, which one can think of as the King or President of his country or the proprietor of the house and household, the planet is the master of his surroundings and his wishes and commands are brought into fruition.  What follows is the planet that is in its exaltation which would represent an honored spiritual or political leader, whose wishes and commands are always hopefully carried out.  A planet in its fall is like a person from a different culture or background that feels uncomfortable in the sign or house and is unable to receive any help or support from his surroundings, and may be compared to an uninvited guest to a private function, no happiness or satisfaction there.  Next to be considered is the triplicity ruler of a day or night chart, which is like the best buddy or visiting celebrity, which is treated with much respect and who is beneficial, helpful and works with the planet in all its endeavors.  Then comes the bounds or better know as terms where the signs are divided unevenly into five sections, where the planets are given a place of their own to be themselves without any obstruction or interference from others.  It may be compared to a refugee for whatever reason seeking asylum in another country, or a person seeking a quiet abode to meditate and do his own thing in this fast paced world we live in.  Face is the next dignity to be considered, which is likened to the trusted servant in the household, trusted and respected in its place in the family circle, but weak in the hierarchy of the group.  The planet in its detriment has no validity or honor and who is not expected to contribute anything and is not listen to or respected for what it might add to the household.

With the realization of what this new information could do for me in my delineation of any type of chart, I began to see where my interpretations were faulty and on a weak foundation.  It helped me to understand why some individuals did not fulfill the promise of their charts, and others appear to exceed their dreams and desires.  To put these thoughts into practice, let us pretend that we have Jupiter in Capricorn on the mid heaven sextile Venus in Pisces in the eleventh house.  Quickly off the top, we might assume the person will have a good job with a decent salary.  Delving deeper one realizes Jupiter in Capricorn is in its fall situated on the cusp of an angle is not particularly happy with the situation and is uncomfortable doing what is expected of him, but a friend either recommended him for the job, or is the support he needs to fulfill the dreams and wishes he wants to obtain.  Venus is exalted in Pisces and makes her well respected and she knows the territory and can guide and support Jupiter to excel in his desires.  This is just a simple example, and it can become more complex and revealing, when one really begins to work with this system.  When one becomes a friend with the essential dignities, their secrets are revealed and then we will come to realize how indispensible they are, if we wish to make an impact with our delineation.
