“Grab and Hold on to the Winds of Change Says 6 Libra 52 Full Moon on March 27th 2013”

With the spring equinox behind us signaling the start of a new astrological year, a sense of hope and anticipation is in the air as we await the colors and the warmth of the season. The winds of March are reflecting the energy and potential of the aspects in the night sky signifying a whirl wind ride of action. In this atmosphere, arrives the 6 Libra 52 Full Moon at 3:28 am PDT on March 27th 2013 telling us to grab on and to hold tight to the winds of change and transformation that is coming our way. As the energy and the excitement of a faster moving planet come in contact with a slower moving one, it helps to magnify the intensities of its potentials. This makes it vital not to miss the opportunities when they present themselves at this time, and when they do, hang on to it for dear life.

With a group of planets and asteroids in, a stellium in Aries that indicate a concentrated and heightened level of focus in the beginning of a cycle. The need for the initiation of action and exploration to step into the unknown with hope and confidence, as one who has been there before, is crucial. The stellium is in opposition to the moon, creating a need to push and to pull, to make things happen and yet at the same time is the support that is needed when the going gets tough. The aspects are not just asking for action and change, but are subtly pointing to the need of transformation in the way we see things and the way we hope to accomplish anything. It is not telling us to throw everything out, but to rearrange it in a way that it will be more meaningful. To put it bluntly, the stars are telling us to get rid of the clutter and work with what is important.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 7th degrees of Libra and for the Sun in 7th degrees of Aires is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Libra 7 A woman feeding chickens and protecting them from the hawks This is a symbol of the creative division of labor between the functions of man and nature, and of the dual constitution of the soul in its responsibilities of conservation on the one hand and of developments on the other. There is here every capacity for a control of events through a nurturing of the things which are desirable and a rejection of those which have no immediate value. The keyword is shrewdness. When positive, the degree is a high competence in administering the duties of normal experience and a very special skill in protecting the self’s real interests, and when negative, a complete personal ineptitude in the face of life’s everyday and recurrent complexities.

Aries 7 A man successfully expressing himself in two realms at once This is a symbol of a creative division of labor within the self, such as distinguishes human kind from the lower orders of life and enables any individual to participate in the experience of many interpenetrating realms of reality. There is capacity here for a complete control of events by shifting from one to another focus of emphasis whenever it proves convenient or expedient. The keyword is proficiency. When positive, the degree is unlimited versatility and a special gift for divorcing the things of issue from whatever lacks immediate pertinence, and when negative, a tendency to defeat all self-competence in an unintelligent scattering of interest.

This symbol is speaking to us to keep things in focus and in perspective in order to maintain the proper balance between opposing forces, thoughts and ideas. To see each thing in its light in order to protect and nourish the weak and at the same time preserve the position of the strong. The key here is the balancing act in using one’s good judgment, one’s vigilance, one’s alertness and one’s awareness to achieve what one is aiming for. It is also telling us of our versatility in functioning competently in more then one area of expertise. As this Full Moon approaches we need to remind ourselves of our assets and liabilities and to begin to work with them to be ready for the whirl wind of change and transformation. By being prepare and ready to take advantage of the opportunities, the changes, the transformations, we will be able to grab on and to allow them to become realities in our lives.

“Vesta and Her Vestal Virgins, the Keeper of the Eternal Flame is Vigilant and Devoted”

Symbols have always been very important in my life, as they represent something without being defined by a set and selection of words, describing what it means.  The symbols can invoke different feelings and emotions in me, depending on the moment in time and in what association the symbol brings to mind.  The American Heritage dictionary defines symbol “as something that represents something else by association, resemblance, or convention, especially a material object used to represent something invisible.  2. A printed or written sign used to represent an operation, an element, a quantity, a quality, or a relation, as in mathematics or music.”  I have never placed too much emphasis on the asteroids as my priorities laid elsewhere, but the symbol for Vesta has always had a soft spot in my feelings and thoughts.  The symbol invokes in me the deepest regards of the eternal light that burns within each of us.

This symbol to me represents flames ever burning and ever reaching for the higher spheres, and represents to me the need to go within our higher self to meditate on our purpose in this life and to tend with sincerity and intention to our own inner flame and requirements.  Vesta is one of the brightest of the asteroids and is associated with Roman mythology as the Goddess of the hearth and fire, and is linked with the aspects of Scorpio and Virgo signifying great concentration on any given task to the exclusion of everything else.  With her vestal virgins, she is the keeper of the eternal flame, the self- perpetuating sacred eternal illumination.  Vesta is vigilant, committed, dedicated, directed, devoted and brings a capacity for pureness of expression for the highest potential and essence of its beliefs.  The goddess brings into each individual the attention, the strength, the purity, the perfection and the reason for the journey in this life.

My interest in Vesta was rekindled recently by an article in the Mountain Astrologer Magazine issue #164 august/September 2012 entitled “Vesta: Driven toward the Sacred” by Dawn Bodrogi.  She explains that whatever house the asteroid is placed in, describes what we instinctively honor and with a pure heart and deeds, where we hope to fulfill our destiny.  With one single minded determined vision and action we will make the ultimate sacrifice for whatever and for whomever we feel is our purpose without questioning the basis for our decisions or our thoughts.  After having accomplishing and achieving our sacred goals, we may feel tired and exhausted, but satisfied and feeling right with our self and the world at large indicates that Vesta is in harmony in our chart.  Aspects of this asteroid give us a sense of urgency, passion and desire.

I began to look at other charts before I made up my mind whether it will be another tool added to my files in delineating any chart.  I was shocked to find that it explained my friend’s strong conviction in relationships by the author’s explanation of the aspects to Venus, Pluto, Mars and Saturn.  Her descriptions seem to describe him to perfection that I began to see if it make any sense to the other charts I had in my files.  To my surprise, it either confirmed other aspects or gave a clear subtle explanation of something I hadn’t seen before.  My problem with her article is that I wish it was a bit longer, but otherwise it was quite informative.  The one thing the article did, was to tease me, and made me want to learn more about Vesta and in what area of our life we would become vigilant, committed, devoted and dedicated to a cause we believe in.

“Reviewing Our Accomplishments is the Keywords for the Taurus New Moon on April 21”

As the clamor of the colors of spring begins to unfold, so too with the drama connected with the coming presidential elections, the slow recovery of the global economy, and the subtle whispers of the predictions of doom and gloom of 2012 begins to weave and to reveal stories, stranger than fiction could ever tell.  Under the shadows of this underlying dramatization the 01 Taurus 35 New Moon appears on the horizon on April 21st 2012 at 12:20 am PDT emphasizing the need to review our accomplishments if we are to make the right decisions for the coming year.  With Ceres and Vesta flanking the New Moon and Juno trine Mercury conjunct Uranus, these asteroids are aiding and supporting us to stand firm, to nourish, to encourage and to commit unselfishly to work for the good and the benefit of everyone and everything created by the Universe.

Realizing that everyone and everything is connected, and that we need to work together for the good of all, is the message.  Understanding and comprehending that our worth should not be measured by our material or financial abundance that have been stored up, but by the joy, by the satisfaction, and by the peace of mind we have accumulated.  Have we developed the qualities and assets of seeing, of experiencing, and of living and of being in the moment?  These aspects in the night sky are telling us that our greatest possession is not what can be seen or touched, or accumulated, but that which is unseen, for example our attitude, emotions, and our thirst for knowledge, et cetera that can make a big difference in our lives, and is a possession greater then any amount of gold we can attain.

“The Sabian symbol for the 2nd degree of Taurus is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Taurus 2  An electrical storm  This is a symbol of man’s real power for making an effective impact on events, dramatized at each moment of issue and crisis by the completeness of his inward self-mobilization.  There is here a catharsis of nature, mirroring the capacity of every individual for discharging the whole complex of strain in his affairs and so clearing the way for a more genuine progress ahead.  Implicit in the symbolism is a terror in the loss of aplomb whenever human personality rises to a moment of union with the universal forces.  The keyword is transformation.  When positive, the degree is a genius for dramatizing both the value at hand and the potentials ahead, and when negative, unreasoning timidity in all self-expression.

This symbol speaks to us of the impact and the power of the energy that is stored up and released and to the awe and fear that can come about where the potential of destruction is not anticipated.  It speaks to us of the breaking point of the stockpile of energy and stress that is inadvertently released or discharged among unsuspecting persons or situations.  As above, so below, explains the power and energy that we too can amass to be use constructively or in a destructive way.  Transformation comes when we unite with wisdom and judgment to come to the realization that it is not what one has, but what one does with what one has, to define who we really are.  This sabian symbol is reinforcing the emphasis of this Taurus New Moon that we need to review our accomplishments to see if it is what we have stored up, that is important, or is it the way we use what we have that is our treasure and success in this life?

“To Comprehend That Which is Hidden, Nudges the Pisces New Moon on Feb 21 2012?

As our sojourn through the cold winter months is taking an upward turn towards the thought that spring is near, and that new hopes and wishes are on the horizon and are about to bloom soon.  Our feelings and plans for the year are gaining a momentum all its own.  Within this sense of excitement and energy the 2 Pisces 42 New Moon at 2:35 pm PST on February 21st 2012 makes its appearance nudging us to grasp and to comprehend our hidden beliefs, our hidden secrets and our hidden mysteries that lie dormant in our consciousness and our sub consciousness for our benefit and use, no matter how the year turns out for each of us.  WithNeptune, Mercury, Chiron and two other asteroids conjoining the Moon and Sun in Pisces, it is like the joker in a field of playing cards that may be a help or a disadvantage, but not without pain.

As the old axiom “where there is no pain, there is no gain” will be making its presence known and felt during the coming year.  Uncovering and revealing these thoughts and moments which are hidden in the back of our memories, gives us the time and opportunity to resolve issues that may be a hindrance or a benefit for our further growth.  It is in experiencing the pain of reliving the moments we have conveniently laid aside that understanding and comprehending the circumstances, that healing comes about.  With healing comes acceptance and forgiveness and in time we will extend our gratitude for experiencing the trials and tribulations, in so doing, we begin to understand their part in our development.  This new awareness and confidence is the extra ingredient we need to help, to create and to bring into fruition our desires and hopes in the coming year.

“The Sabian symbol for the 3rd degree of Pisces is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Pisces 3  A petrified forest  This is a symbol of the absolute certainty which any individual may develop in the terms of his conscious knowledge, and of the power in human character which becomes the hallmark of his intellectual orientation.  The static symbolism is a warning against any reliance on stabilities to which no immediate or personal contribution is made, and which in consequence may become obstacles to progress.  Here rather is dramatization of an eternal stoutheartedness, and of its very practical dividends in spiritual continuance.  The keyword is survival.  When positive, the degree is effective continuity and breadth of resource in human effort, and when negative, complete immobilization in superficial reality.

This symbol speaks to us about convictions, intellectual certainties, character, concepts and ideas that survive long after they have been conceived.  It is the image of endurance, but at the same time it alludes to inflexibility, stubbornness, resistance to change and the inability to adapt or improvise at any moment in time.  One begins to realize and suspect that the picture we have of our self may be a stumbling block instead of a stepping stone to accomplish our dreams.  This symbol speaks to our inner soul, by epitomizing and demanding us to search within our deepest thoughts, that the convictions we held so dearly and live by as truth for so long, still resonates and supports us in accomplishing our wishes and dreams.  If we hope to live this year as fully as possible, we need to listen and to take advantage of the energy and power of this New Moon in Pisces.  By trying to grasp and to comprehend the hidden beliefs, secrets and mysteries of our consciousness within us and to change it, if need be.  Then and then only, will we be able to transform our stumbling block into a stepping stone in which to generate and live a life joyfully and with satisfaction.

“Total Lunar Eclipse at 29 Gemini 20 on Dec 21st 2010, a Major Crossroad Crisis?”

The total Lunar Eclipse in 29 Gemini 20 at 12:14 a.m. PST happening December 21st 2010 is the third of the five Full Moons in a row that form at the last degree of a sign.  Besides being predisposed to the sign it is about to leave, it is starting to be influenced by the sign it is moving towards.  As this Full Moon is also a total Lunar Eclipse, the need to work with these energies, is of the upmost importance, as it amplifies our opportunities for transformation, rebirth and regeneration.  With the aspects of the planets and their relationship with the asteroids Pallas, Juno and Vesta, the zodiac is pointing to a major crossroad that we must tread upon lightly with wisdom and discernment, if we are to avoid a major crisis.  As this is the last eclipse for the year, the aspects of the past year have been nudging us to make some changes.  Indicating there is a turning point on the horizon in which we must take advantage of now and not miss the occasion presented.  This maybe the last time the Universe allows us the chance to make the changes in our lives, without interference from outside forces and situations.  Pallas the Warrior Queen is telling us we can no longer blindly follow others, but that we need to arouse the wisdom within and to defend what we consider important in our lives.  The survival instinct needed comes from using wisdom mixed with the right emotions to make things happen.  With the energies of Juno and Vesta, understanding the need to construct and sustain the right relationships and partnerships, will create and maintain the environment we wish to generate around us.

“The Sabian symbol for the Moon in 30 degrees of Gemini and for the Sun in 30 degrees of Sagittarius is taken from “The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Marc Edmund Jones”, and what follows are my comments.

Gemini 30  Bathing beauties  This is a symbol of human excellence on the side of purely natural endowment, and of the soul as wholly inadequate except as it is able to meet some needs of everyday experience with the elements inherent in its make-up and so free from any or all responsibility to anything other then itself.  Here individuality gains a needed assurance through the phases of its being which prove immune from change or loss.  A person becomes himself as he is able thus to stand radiant and reliant among the total of his fellows.  The keyword is charm.  When positive, the degree is a special capacity for bringing the familiar desires and interests to an enduring representation of worthiness, and when negative, regression to childish vanities.

Sagittarius 30  The Pope  This is a symbol of human excellence on the side of the special values exalted in the various social and political hierarchies of modern civilization, and of man’s ambition as entirely inadequate except as he is able to meet some exceptional of everyday experience and so proceed to dramatize whatever abilities he may have developed in climbing to the position in which he finds himself.  A person is strengthened within himself by the appreciation he succeeds in winning from his fellows.  The keyword is sanctity.  When positive, the degree is and effective and spectacular sacrifice of self in some enduring service to the race at large, and when negative, inordinate love of self-display and surrender to a lust for power.

Within each one of us is instilled the innate talents, assets, and wisdom that will create the world we want from the trials, tribulations and chaos that is engulfing our society.  Before we can make use of these gifts, we need to give them the respect and sanctity they deserve, deleting any negative thoughts and knowing with certainty when called upon that they will come to our aid without hesitation and give their all.  Our responsibility is to realize that we are at the crossroads, and that we need to use all the gifts the Universe has given to us, to make the right choices.  To admit there is a major decision that needs to be made is the first step in deciding the right direction as we approach the crossroad of life to reach the destination we hope for.
