Law of Abundance – for what its worth.

In one of my files I ran across this Law of Abundance exercise attributed to Lynne Palmer which I will elaborate and extend on since I feel it is another avenue in which we can combine astrology and self help techniques to improve our lives.

“Every month, 24 hours after the new Moon, and not a moment earlier, write a check out to yourself (if you don’t have a bank account just write it on a piece of paper like a check) Write the check out to yourself.  On the line for your signature, just sign it “The Law of Abundance”.  Do not date the check and do not fill in the amount.  On the line where you would normally write the amount just write “paid in full”.  Do not void the check or throw them away, just let them pile up.  Put them in a bible, under your computer, wallet, phones, etc.”  Or if you are a cell phone person, text your self and save it.”

This paragraph has more meaning then meets the eyes, since hidden in the action is visualization, positive attitude, physical meditation and repetition.  One of the first points I must mention when doing this creative visual thought process, pick your quiet corner where only this creative visualization is done.  Each time you repeat the operation here, it becomes easier and more automatic.  I found this very true, when as a child I hated to study, but was advise to read in a favorite spot and do nothing else there.  It worked even though it took a couple weeks before I could go long periods without interruptions.

Have a positive joyous attitude with out anxious thoughts when writing this check.  Since you have no dollar amount you have not created any limits, and paid in full says it like it is.  One thing I would like to point out is paid in full can mean more then a monetary amount.  Like the old saying “money can’t bring you happiness’, there is more to paid in full as in joy, peace of mind, and happiness.  Keep an open mind when writing this check as it can mean any of these things; even bring abundant love in your life.

Writing this thought became important to me as I realized we just passed a new moon a couple of days ago on April 24 to 25, 2009 at 5 degrees Taurus which I found exciting and appropriate as Taurus is at home in the second house of finance and procession and its ruler Venus is the lover of beauty and harmony.  Actually I mentally wrote out several checks paid in full in the areas of joy, contentment, peace of mind and what ever prosperity the gods thought I needed.  Since I started this blog to inform and help, I decided to write this article instead of the one planned.  This shows us that even a person in a fixed sign who finds it hard to move away from the planned path as myself, can adapt to change quickly if needed.

A while back in Boston I was told by a psychic, in order to create and receive the good the Universe had in store for me, I was to stand facing a full moon in a five star position with arms and legs stretched out and saying “I am open to all my good.”  I think this is also a good ritual to do using Lynne Palmer’s thinking we should do this ritual 24 hours before the full moon peaks.  I think I failed to get the full benefit because I did it while the moon was waning because once it peeks, it quickly decreases.

I am now going to list the signs with a few key words to get you started, and a chart of the new and full moons for 2009.  You will find as you do the moon practice in the different signs that the mood differs.  And if the moon sign is in the same sign as your natal moon, you will feel an oneness with what you are doing at the moment.

Create a better future and experience astrology in our daily lives.

Wongtolomy Speaks the Truth

Thanks for the Visit

I appreciate your visit and if you had enjoyed yourself and hopefully learnt something new, please spread the message and shout it to all your friends.  I am hoping to post a new thought every Thursday (Jupiter’s day of knowledge and wisdom) and Sunday (Sun’s energy and vitality).

I am planning to make this blog an informative place for all kinds of new ideas pertaining to astrology and divination and personal self help and growth.  For what good is a great astrological reading and you don’t have any ideas of how to put it in action.  Forewarned is forearmed, but without the tools to make it a reality, it is no longer an asset.  One must realize that with a healthy body and mind and the right attitude one can put into action one’s dreams.  It is only with the right frame of mind are we able to grasp the opportunities when they come our way.

I am a self appointed new age critic and will review articles, books, and websites giving two stars or no stars, which would give you a head start where time has become so essential in our internet  life style.

To give you a hint of some of the articles being plan, they are:

1.)    The three Gods in one in our natal charts.

2.)    Indecisive is okay, but make sure you know what you don’t want.

3.)   Take small withdrawals from your dream bank account to create the lifestyle you want.

4.)   How to use a Solar Return Chart reading in a way to maneuver a better future.

5.)    Horary astrology- an old method of prediction, a new age tool for forecasting.orHH

Thanks again and if you wish to comment good or bad or no opinion at all but have a suggestion for an article, please do so and if you wish to contribute an article, let me know.

Astrology my First Choice

My first choice would be astrology in the field of divination to find out what the future would hold for me, or to deal with some specific concern I have at the moment.  Having studied astrology for many years, and having gone to several astrologers, I have seen the benefits and the failures of the art.  I have also been to tarot card readers, rune stone readers, and psychics, and although I have respect for the real practitioners of these arts, I believe and know these arts are dependent on the abilities of the practitioners, where as in astrology it is in the system and how well studied the practitioner is.

The study of astrology is not an over night program with a diploma, as one may ask any astrologer.  Any good astrologer worth their weight in gold will tell you that it is an on going study regime with no end in sight.  To complicate matters, the study of astrology is like medicine, where there is a general over study, and then there are specific areas of interest.  So I have a lot of respect for an accomplished astrologer who continues their study in their special interests and are open minded to all new developments.

The difference from an astrologer and practitioners of the other divinatory arts is that astrology is a science in that a chart is drawn up at the exact time of your birth in which interpretation is then rendered.  Unlike tarot cards and rune stones, if one gets an answer one is unhappy with, one always hopes at another time to pick a different tarot card or rune stone to change or reverse the outcome.  The same is true with having a reading from a psychic which one is not happy with and one goes to another hoping to hear something else.  With astrology you can’t change your birth time or birth place, so you must deal and work with what the Universe has given to you.

The planets, their position, and aspects are like the blessings and gifts given by the fairies in the fairy tales of old to the newborns.   As in the Grimm fairy tales although the child may have been cursed by the wicked fairy, the other fairies have blessed the child to help ease or modify the evil.  The same is true with the story of the planets in one’s own natal chart; some planets may bring mischief and others blessings.  In the fairy tales the hero or heroine had to suffer or go through the dark night of the soul in order to come into their own.  The natal chart like all myths and legends must work with the so called dark side to reach the light.

Divination an answer?

During times of stress and uncertainty, the need to know some sort of direction becomes more apparent in one’s psyche.  The spiritual world becomes more attractive as they appear to give the future a more fixed outcome to the uncertain present.  Our needs to have a more stable outcome will make us turn to others for advice.

If we have decided to have some form of divination to help make some important decisions for the future, then we must have the same value and standards that we would use to choose a personal physician.  What do we really want to learn about, and what are we willing to sacrifice in order to arrive at the future we hope for.

The most important question we should ask ourselves is what we really want to know about the future, and specifically what areas are we really concerned about.  Make sure the question is specific and not so general as to give confusion to you as the querent or to the consultant who is trying to answer your questions.

Most people during this recession are concern about money, but what area is really important to you as an individual in the scheme of things.  Are you worried about your job, investments, and what you’re spending?  Are you trying to start your own business, or are you unhappy at what your doing and worried about quitting your job because of your financial situation?  Or have you been out of work for awhile and feel hopeless about getting a job in your field, but feel fearful?  Have your investments been reduced to make you afraid to trust others again?  These are some ideas one must unravel and dig through to realize what is really troubling oneself.

You don’t want your hour of consultation spent on a subject matter not dealing with your apprehensions.  It is important to put your concerns first, to see the lay out of the land, and what your talents and assets are at the moment that might help you to improve your situation.

Remember the consultation is like advice from a friend that needs to be carefully thought over.  You must decide what parts of the consultation are for your own good, if any.  It is like going over one’s own thoughts and weeding out the bad, not so good, and the ones that are dreams.  Keep in mind you have only this life and no one else is living it, so make your choices that will make you happy.  Be responsible for your decisions, and don’t blame others.  And if you do make a wrong turn, one can always make a new turn on the road of life.  The important point is to listen to the advice with an open mind, and then be responsible for the decisions you make from them.  Blaming others for our situation, only delays the decision to make a correction to the problems that have occurred.  It isn’t important that we made a mistake or error, but it is a problem if we don’t quickly make a decision to correct the situation.  Without mistakes we will never learn, and with the mistakes it helps us to think out of the box to solve our problems.

Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places?

It is not the power of an orgasm that keeps the relationship dynamic, but the continued attention to keeping the flames alive that keeps the excitement glowing.  So stay in front of the fire and pay attention to the coals.

It is true the grass may not be greener on the other side, but like our daily fantasies; from that perspective, the experience can be more exciting, thrilling and fulfilling.  It isn’t important to live out your fantasies, as much as just having them to enjoy.

Communicating orally will reveal your intentions, but to give your love life a lift, body language says an awful lot more.  Remember your action and body attitude is like the old saying “a picture is worth thousands of words”.

Home is where the heart is.  Make sure your mind knows the difference between lust and love to keep you peaceful and balanced.  When the passion has died down, the home fires must be kept going to reveal the other details around the home which created the attraction in the first place.

You are the King of the lions among your own pride, but around your true loves, the kid lamb in you comes out with a roar.   It is important to have a place where one feels safe and secure and can renew one’s energy to stay in the royal light.

Keeping all in order is great, but there are some situations that you have to kick caution to the wind, since great memories are forever.  Memories help make great tomorrows because they remind us what we want and what makes us happy.

Give and take is the rules of the day so don’t let your prejudices get in the way of a great affair, because not everything is what it appears to be.  There are always at least two sides to every story and maybe more then meets the eyes.  Keep in mind the old saying “Be careful what you wish for”.

Hot is hot, but don’t scorch all you touch, or like the king with the golden touch you may find your self alone and lonely.  Keep it cool and slowly stir the coals, and you will find the pot still hot without boiling over and turning the fire off.

Traveling to far and distant lands may get you some exotic fruits and forbidden one night affairs, but watch out for the cold lonely nights when you desire more then the release of passion.  Someone to come home to is like a comfy warm fireplace on a wintery night.

Being a leader and player in the limelight is great for the ego.  Sometimes what you really need, want, and desire in order to relax and be the real you is to submit and be dominated.  Let the games begin.

Indecisiveness may bring about periods of doing nothing, so take the plunge towards the unknown to satisfy your inner needs for the unusual.  Love does not need to be ordinary and an every day kind of thing, so lead the parade in a new direction and make the most of it

Secret love affairs may make it exciting to be alive, but watch out for the sparks to fly when people you love find out.  The excitement may be in the forbidden fruit of the passion then in the person it self.  We always want what we can’t or should not have; that is the excitement of it all.  So stay true to yourself

Why astrology?

Why am I writing about astrology?  Astrology and divination are topics which are so dear to my heart.  I guess, since I have been a student of the art of the stars for so many years and being Chinese with all my superstitions and legends, it falls naturally that I would be keen on defending it from those, not in the know.

The problem of doubts and criticism does not just come from outside the astrological community, but from with in my own self and among our own diverse believers in the art.  What struck me most was an interview I read with Robert Hand, a well known astrologer in which he was asked, if he believes in astrology?  His answer was “not that he believes in astrology, but that he experiences astrology”.  That statement made a huge impact in my thinking about the art and science of astrology and my approach to continue my studies and application of the science.  To live and be it, and not just to read and to theorize about it is the key to the understanding of the stars.

What does experience mean?  The Oxford English Reference Dictionary gives the following:  1.) Actual observation of or practical acquaintance with facts or events.  2.) Knowledge or skill resulting from this.  3.) An event regarded as affecting one, the fact or process of being so affected, have experience of; undergo.

It started many years ago when I took up the study of astrology in connection with my spiritual path to have a leisure pursuit into divination, which because of my ethnicity went hand in hand with my beliefs.
